Cogges - a unique and very special wedding venue
Nestled in the lovely market town of Witney sits Cogges Manor Farm, a beautiful location for your special day. Your wedding should be as unique as you are, and our stunning 18th century barns provide the perfect blank canvas to create your own, dream wedding. Conveniently located just 10 miles from Oxford, in close reach of the M40 and just 2 hours from London, Witney and the West Oxfordshire area has plenty of accommodation options for you and your guests.
The Grounds
You and your guests are welcome to enjoy the entire site, which extends to 17 acres. Cogges has many charming locations for your wedding photographs, such as the Manor House lawn, the beautiful, ever-changing walled garden and the orchard. Depending on your chosen date, you might be lucky enough to have our stunning wisteria in full bloom as a back-drop.
18th Century Barns
Your wedding hire provides you with sole use of our two adjacent Cotswold barns plus a walled, lawned area for a fire pit or garden games, and under-cover shelter too. Both barns are licensed for civil marriage ceremonies, and we are just next door to St Mary’s, the Cogges Parish Church.
Your wedding hire includes adjoining Wheat & Barley barns, both of which have a civil marriage license so you can hold your wedding ceremony in either. The walled courtyard with grassed area and covered canopy immediately outside are for your sole use.
After the ceremony, your reception and party can be held in one (or both) of the barns or spread outside onto the lawn. You may start your celebration at a time to suit you; the terms of our premises license dictate that the music must cease at 11pm and everyone off site by midnight.
Wheat Barn – the more spacious of the two barns and can seat up to 200 guests (banqueting style) or approx. 130 on round tables. Alternatively, a ceremony could be held with seating for 250+.
Barley Barn – the smaller, adjacent barn can seat up to 140 guests for a ceremony, and could be an ideal dance floor, bar or even quiet space for young children. It's also another option for your wedding breakfast.
