The Garden Station waiting room is registered for both weddings and civil ceremonies.
The legal part of the ceremony must take place in the station itself, however we frequently have the main ceremony take place in the garden or on the platform. You simply have to go in to the building and do
your 'i do's' again to make it all legal!
The Garden Station is a wonderful place for a party!
There are lots of options available, we are happy to work with you to make the day what you want it to be. Popular options include tea parties, buffets, barbeques or even a hog roast at the station. the platform has been a stage for a band and the track bed has been a dance floor covered by a canopy, the options are endless. You could even treat your guests to a 'posh picnic' served in hampers filled with delicious locally sourced goodies.
For larger groups we have the village hall just across the road, which is perfect for a ceilidh. We can even have a marquee set up in the woodland clearing so you can dance the night away in a beautiful woodland setting.
