The Glamorous Owl Experience
Travel down the cobbled streets of Old George Yard and you will find the award-winning Glamorous Owl nestled between retro music and vintage clothes shops. With a gift shop featuring work from over 40 artists, you are guaranteed to be browsing their shelves of jewellery, leatherwork and art for hours on end.
Above the gift shop is The Glamorous Owl’s very own workshop run by local silversmith, and Glamorous Owl owner, Claire Chapman and her team. Offering jewellery workshops and courses from bespoke wedding ring workshops to twelve week silversmithing courses, Claire and the team will tutor and guide you through your jewellery making process.

What does making a wedding ring entail?
Run by Claire, these bespoke sessions are designed entirely around the couple. Couples are invited to a consultation to discuss what they want to make to ensure that they will create exactly what reflects their personality and their relationship. There is a choice of materials including sterling silver, 9ct or 18ct gold in white yellow or rose, and a choice of widths and finishes. All rings are fully hallmarked as a measure of quality assurance by the London assay office.
Why should I make my wedding ring?
Making your wedding ring is far more meaningful than purchasing a pre-made piece. In making your rings, you are dedicating your time, thought and creativity into the piece that you will be wearing for the rest of your life. Every time you and your partner look down at your rings, you will remember the experience of making them together, the laughs that you shared and the love that you poured into creating them.
Is there anything else I should know?
The cost of the wedding ring class is £75 per couple tuition, £30 per couple hallmarking plus the materials. Prices are also provided on consultation. The whole experience includes personal tuition, afternoon tea and a bottle of fizz - either to drink after your session or to take away. These aspects are not included in our standard workshops and are designed to make your wedding ring session extra-special and memorable. All dietary requirements are catered for including vegan, gluten-free and lactose-intolerance.
